An Interview With Design Students At The Art Institute Of Portland

There I was doing live weather at the FALL Home & Garden Show at the Portland Expo Center.

Yeah, it was an 81 degree day and the air conditioner was cranked in there!

But that’s when I spotted the chocolate. Enlarge this picture and you’ll see it, too, all over this dining room scene that was part of a design competition at the show.

A Rare Portland-Vancouver Event: Temperatures Refuse To Drop Even After Sunset

And this was no hot August night.

The 11PM temperature map you see here shows Portland was 17 degrees warmer than Corvallis and 8 degrees warmer than Salem. All cities were clear and dark. And that leaves just one possible explanation for the difference in temperature. The power of the east wind spilling… Read more

Tonight, not long after 8 o’clock, we got a smattering of phone calls into the KOIN Local 6 Newsroomand some people were talking about it on Twitter and Facebook. I’m pretty sure it would have been… Read more

La Nina Returns: Back So Soon?

It’s b-a-a-a-a-c-k!

It’s the weather phenomena that usually means a cloudier and rainier rainy season.

Really, do we need any help with this?

Apparently we do: La Nina has re-developed in the Pacific Ocean  less than three months after it faded away.

If you’re a regular blog reader or KOIN Local 6 viewer, you probably heard me say we were under aRead more
