Record April Heat Hits Portland – Now Back To Our Regularly Scheduled Weather

When the sky is this blue over Haystack Rock in late April–you just know something’s going on with the weather.

From Saturday April 21 to Monday April 23, 2012, unusually strong high pressure for the time of year parked over the entire west. The result was clear and warm weather along the Oregon Coast and warm then record hot weather in the Willamette Valley.

Portland’s First Warm Weekend Of 2012 – 80 Degrees Is Possible

A narrow band of rain over us Friday morning April 20 gets pushed way north on Saturday and Sunday.

The sun comes out.

It’s official…the sun is now setting just after 8pm in Portland, Vancouver, Salem & along the coast.
