While many spots along the Oregon Coast stayed in the 50s, it was a full on summer sizzle for the Portland-Vancouver metro area on Thursday August 16, 2012.
The hottest five cities are in the graphic to the right.
Next up, the rest of the “Hot 15″ from Thursday.
But what’s even crazier than Portland’s second 100 degree day of 2012? The fact that I put Portland head to head against Phoenix, Arizona — and Portland won the day!
Of all the triple digits highs, only one was a record. Vancouver’s 100 degrees topped the old record of 99 set in 2008. Portland’s record high of 102 was out of reach!

Congratulations to Portland for “beating:” Phoenix! Here we easily beat Toronto as well!

I love it: Vancouver B.C. vs Toronto — and Vancouver wins! The crowd at Stanley Park is going wild! Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for your post.
