The scramble is still on.
Everyone from scientists to neighborhood kids in Chelyabinsk, Russia, are on the hunt for pieces of the Russian Meteorite that exploded with a sonic boom and shattered windows and walls.
Now, what’s known to be left of the Russian Meteor are tiny pieces.

It’s true. So far in February 2013 here in Portland we’ve barely topped .25″ of rain.
Today alone we’re looking at .40″ to .75″ in the Willamette Valley. So it’s going to seem wet, for sure!
The moderate to heavy rain moves out by late afternoon leaving us in shower and sun breaks mode. The real focus after that is in the Cascades where heavy snow and gusty winds will create blizzard conditions at times.… Read more

I guess you can call it the meteor explosion ‘heard round the world.’
A falling meteor appears to have exploded (think sonic boom style) about 900 miles from Moscow, Russia. With so much force it reportedly shattered windows.
Video of the meteor exploding over Russia suddenly started trending on twitter.
