More Rain Friday Than All The Rest Of February

It’s true. So far in February 2013 here in Portland we’ve barely topped .25″ of rain.

Today alone we’re looking at .40″ to .75″ in the Willamette Valley. So it’s going to seem wet, for sure!

Mount Hood – Some Of The Best Snow In The U.S., For Now

This picture shows Mount Hood Meadows picking up 6″ of Christmas Night snow.

That, and the snow Monday night into this morning is happening at the best possible time: the busiest week of the year for Mt. Hood ski resorts!

Willamette Valley Low Elevation Snow Chances Update

The snow was crazy Thursday night on Mt. Hood. Hopefully you saw Joel Iwanaga’s live shot at 11! Snow was falling at an inch an hour with constant gusts of 55-65mph just up above Timberline Lodge.

And it’s like ‘instant winter’ at Goverment Camp as you see in this Thursday night ODOT shot.

First Snow At Timberline Lodge, Mt. Hood Meadows, Mt. Bachelor

The snow on early Wednesday October 5, 2011, was  enough to get me thinking about hitting the slopes for the first time this season.
