Top 11 Blog Posts From 2011

January 2, 2012 by Bruce Sussman 1 Comment

I spend more than 150 days each year talking about rain in Portland.

You can see how we did in 2011 in this graphic to the right.

But looking back at the year, Bruce Sussman Weather Blog readers were most interested in a tsunami, tornadoes and unusual looking clouds over the mountains of Washington & Oregon. Plus a sprinkling of other posts.

I wish you a Happy New Year – and I thank you for stopping by to read for just a bit…

Happy New Year, Bruce. I noticed your stats on Portland’s total rainfall. Here in VancouverBC we had somewhat more for the month of December (I measured 4.26 inches) and for the year, but the intresting thing was we had near or slightly below average rainfall for 2011. (my 53.67 inches was about 2.33 inches less than my long term average) I enjoy your blog anyway- thanks, and I look forward to reading more in 2012!
