We all know Portland’s a beautiful city, right?
This picture I took of “mare’s tails” above the KOIN Tower in downtown Portland is just a frozen moment of Portland beauty.
But what if I told you there’s an incredible new time lapse called “Finding Portland” that you just have to watch?
Three Things I Noticed In Finding Portland Time Lapse Video
- The KOIN Tower (home of KOIN Local 6 News) appears six different times. See if you can keep track.
- The Portland Timbers, our Major League Soccer Team got more time in “Finding Portland” than our NBA team the Portland Trail Blazers. I’m not really surprised. One of the very first things I noticed when I moved to Portland 15 years ago: this IS soccer town, USA.
- They weren’t afraid to timelapse Portland’s famously gray skies. Probably because a ‘sunny skies only’ video either would have been a lot shorter or taken until July to finish! Instead they shot the whole thing in March & April 2012.
