First Ever Video Of Near Earth Asteroid

November 8, 2011 by Bruce Sussman 2 Comments

It’s been more than 30 years since something this big has passed so close to earth. Near Miss: Big Asteroid About To Fly Past Earth. And even before it’s closest pass — NASA recorded this incredible video of the thing spiraling through outerspace!

Check out this video of Asteroid 2005 YU55:

Boy, if you don’t doFacebook or Twitter, it can be tough to figure out how to contact you.

We got a little kick out of the end of the 11:20 pm forecast tonight (11/10); just wondering if you meant to write “Frog and Fost” for tonight, or was it a genuine oops that should have been “Fog and Frost”.

    Either way, we chuckled.

      Hi Guys–

I totally know how this happened. When I was little, I used to call fog, ‘frog’ and my boys and I are always joking about this. They’ll even say, ‘it’s froggy out this morning, etc.’ And so, it appears I’ve gotten so used to saying it with them, I’ve changed the official meteorological term for this one!

If I can’t get the rest of the weather world to go along…I’ll have to put this in the ‘oops’ category…for sure.
