Helping To Teach Kids About the Weather with
School Weather Visits
Although I love my job, my absolute favorite thing to do is talk weather with kids at schools. The older the kids are, the more I can expect certain questions that I can answer. The younger the kids are the crazier the questions. They ask things I never expect. Like, “can a tornado pick up cows.” Why yes, yes they can. A great, but unexpected, question.
My school visit calendar books up quickly. But if you’d like to check my schedule just drop me a line at bsussman@Koin.com.

Hi Bruce-
Im online this evening trying to help my son get info for his current events writing and we decided rather than do the debate like everyone else, we would research the record breaking dry season we are having. I then was lead to your page and thought I would reach out to see if you would have any interest in coming to Ainsworth Elementary to talk to my kids’ 5th grade class. I know they would love to hear about weather and history and geography from you- I can talk to our room parent and teacher(s). If you know Spanish all the better but not a neccesary. It is our Spanish Immersion class but we can do weather on the English side as well!
