Portland Winter Weather Trend – Will It Happen Again?

February 18, 2012 by Bruce Sussman 3 Comments

It’s happened twice this winter, already.

Can we go for three in a row?

Check out this graphic–the second half of each month mother nature is taking off her gloves and throwing down the gauntlet!

An even bigger question: could we see late February snow? Some of the forecast tools are hinting at cold weather a week from now. It was late February in 2011 when Portland got 2″ of snow. Hmmm.

Stay tuned weather fans, stay tuned!

Hi Bruce: now that February is over, I thought i’d show you how our location did in December to February as far as first and second half totals of the months precipitation went.
    Dec.1-15, 2011: 0.23 inches
    Dec.16-31,2011: 4.03 inches
    Jan.1-15,2012: 2.87 inches
    Jan.16-31,2012: 4.61 inches
    Feb.1-14,2012: 1.61 inches
    Feb.15-29,2012: 4.95 inches
Looks like the “trend’ has continued!
