Records Fall From November Heat, Big Cool Down Ahead

November 4, 2012 by Bruce Sussman 1 Comment

I actually saw people wearing shorts on Sunday November 4, 2012. And for once...it was a good call to wear them! November 2, 2012 by Bruce Sussman 5 Comments

We know how October works, right? We start warm in Portland. And we end up all wet. But rarely do we get this wet--6.14" of rain, 205% of average! All that and not even in the top 5 wettest Octobers. Oh well, maybe next time. Also, just for fun, I asked KOIN Local 6 Weather Intern Jeff to … [Read more...]

Hurricane Sandy, By The Numbers

October 30, 2012 by Bruce Sussman Leave a Comment

Flood water from Hurricane Sandy storm surge pours into a New Jersey Path (subway) station in Hoboken, NJ. It looks like something I saw just last week on the Universal Studios tour. But this is for real. And today, Tuesday October 30, 2012, is when we see much more of the damage that's been … [Read more...]
